Overnight oats are the ultimate meal-prep breakfast — creamy, satisfying, and ready the moment you wake up. Mix oats with milk and yogurt before bed, let the fridge do the work, and grab a perfectly thick, pudding-like breakfast in the morning.

The base ratio is simple: equal parts oats and milk, plus a dollop of yogurt for extra creaminess and protein. Chia seeds add body and omega-3s. Customize endlessly — peanut butter and banana, berries and honey, chocolate and almond, or maple and pecan.

They last 3-5 days in the fridge, making them perfect for weekly meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Combine oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in a jar. Stir well.

  2. 2

Seal and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  3. 3

In the morning, stir and add a splash of milk if too thick.

  4. 4

Top with fresh berries, sliced banana, nut butter, granola, or your favorite toppings.

  5. 5

Eat cold straight from the jar, or microwave 1-2 minutes for warm oats.
