Paper-thin strudel dough filled with cinnamon-spiced apples, raisins, and buttered breadcrumbs, served with vanilla sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 egg
  • 5 tart apples, sliced
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs, toasted in butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

    Knead dough from flour, egg, oil, and water. Rest 30 minutes.

    Stretch dough paper-thin. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs, then apple-sugar-raisin filling.

    Roll up. Bake at 190°C for 35-40 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar.
