Yeasted cake with crunchy caramelized honey-almond topping, split and filled with vanilla pastry cream.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp butter (topping)
  • 2 cups vanilla pastry cream

Instructions

    Make yeast dough. Rise 1 hour. Press into pan.

    Melt butter with honey and almonds. Spread on dough.

    Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes. Cool, slice, and fill with cream.
