Fluffy steamed yeast dumplings with a crispy, caramelized bottom, served in warm vanilla sauce.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup warm milk

Instructions

    Make yeast dough, rise 1 hour. Form 8 balls.

    Melt butter, sugar, and milk in a wide pan. Place dumplings in, cover.

    Cook 20 minutes — do NOT lift lid. Serve with vanilla sauce.
