Caramelized onions in dark beer broth topped with crusty bread and bubbling Gruyère.

Ingredients

  • 6 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup dark beer
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 4 slices crusty bread
  • 1.5 cups Gruyère, grated

Instructions

    Cook onions in butter on low heat 30-40 minutes until deep golden.
