- 2 apples, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 0.5 cup red wine
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 whole cloves

Sauté onion in butter. Add shredded cabbage and cook 5 minutes.
