A rustic free-form tart filled with caramelized onions, goat cheese, and fresh thyme on flaky pastry.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie dough round
  • 3 large onions, sliced
  • 100 g goat cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 egg (for wash)

Instructions

    Caramelize onions in butter over low heat, 25-30 minutes.

    Roll dough into rough circle. Spread onions, leaving 5cm border.

    Dot with goat cheese and thyme. Fold edges over filling.

    Brush edges with egg wash. Bake at 200°C for 25 min until golden.
