A viral fusion — smash burger patties on a toasted pretzel bun with beer cheese sauce and caramelized onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 pretzel buns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 0.5 cup dark beer
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

    Caramelize onions in butter over low heat for 20 minutes.

    Make beer cheese: melt cheddar with beer in a saucepan until smooth.

    Form beef into balls. Smash flat on a hot griddle. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 2 min per side.
